Bearing designations
Bearing designation represents the features of the bearing including type, dimension, precision, gauge and other specifications. It comprises basic designation and supplementary symbols.
Basic designation represents bearing¡¯s basic type, design and dimensions. Supplementary symbols are used to identify designs or variants which differ in some way from original or the current standard designs.

All TCB standard bearings have a characteristic basic designation, which for almost all standard bearing types are shown in the following table




 
Supplementary symbols
Supplementary symbols appear as "prefix" or "suffix", which generally demonstrated by letters, of which the meanings are shown as follows:

A    30o contact angle
AC    25o contact angle
B    40o contact angle
C    15o contact angle
C2    Bearing internal clearance smaller than CN
C3    Bearing internal clearance greater than CN
C4    Bearing internal clearance greater than C3
C5    Bearing internal clearance greater than C4
CA    Axial internal clearance will be smaller than CB when arranged DB or DF
CB    Axial internal clearance will be normal when arranged DB or DF
CC    Axial internal clearance will be greater than CB when arranged DB or DF
CM    Radial internal clearance for electric motor bearings
CN    Normal internal clearance
CT    Radial clearance of electric motor bearing greater than CM
CV    Modified internal design, full complement roller bearings
DA    Modified snap ring groove in the outer ring, two-piece inner ring held together by a retaining ring
DB    Two bearings matched for mounting in a back-to-back arrangement
DF    Two bearings matched for mounting in a face-to-face arrangement
DT    Two bearings matched for mounting in a tandem arrangement
E    Optimized internal design
F    Face-to-face
FA    Machined steel cage, outer ring centred
G    With re-lubricated groove and nipple in the outer ring
HT    Grease fill for high operating temperature
J    Pressed steel cage
K    Taper 1:12
LT    Grease fill for low operating temperature
M    Machine brass cage,
